Harvest Party

Our wonderful mentor couples planned a fabulous Harvest Party for all the families in our groups. This year it was so much fun because Raleigh was old enough to actually participate in the activities. They had the cutest owl craft made out of moonpies, apple bobbin' (Raleigh didn't want to participate in this one...it was cold!), pumpkin painting, and a hay ride. The adults had a soup and dessert bake off...yummy!! We had so much fun and love the quality time with all of these families!
Owl...cute!
Love the concentration that she's putting into painting her pumpkin

Loading up for the "hay" ride...notice we have no hay!
The crew...thanks to Mr. Bowdie and Blaine for driving!
That was fun!!

Memories, Memories

Raleigh and I took a trip to Rome to visit "Aunt" Coo, Ms. Amanda, Emma Kate, Ms. Lori, and Tucker. Coo and Amanda were my roommates and Lori was another great friend from college. The four of us would go visit Las Palmas (our favorite Mexican restaurant) at least once a week if not more while in college. I have not been back since we graduated college 7 years ago. I made the trek up to Rome not only to eat at Las Palmas, but to also see Emma Kate and Tucker (and of course Coo, Amanda, and Lori). We had a great time together...the only difference was we needed a bigger table!

Future Gymdog

Do we have a future Gymdog on our hands??? Time will only tell, but if she's going to be a gymdog she'll need to learn the skills from someone else...better enroll her now. :) Thanks to Aunt Manda for the shirt!!

Washington Farms Pumpkin Patch

One year ago...how small she looks!

Last year we went to Burt's Pumpkin Farm in Dawsonville to pick out a pumpkin. This year we didn't have time on the weekend to head up to Dawsonville so Raleigh and I met Jason at Washington Farms one evening. I love Washington Farms and was excited about letting Raleigh enjoy the petting zoo, hay ride, corn maze, cow train, and pig races. Unfortunately the night we chose to go they did not have any of those things open so we were only able to pick out a pumpkin. We're going to attempt to go back on an evening that they every thing open if the weather permits. Although we didn't get to enjoy all the activities that they have we had a great time picking out just the right pumpkin...Raleigh even picked one out for herself. Next step...carving!

Helping carry the pumpkin

Since Washington Farms is so close to Athens, they are UGA fans. The gator and yellow jacket are targets for the corn cannon. What better targets could you ask for?? :)
She looks so grown up here!
Oink, Oink!

Big Helper!

Raleigh is a big helper at Dacula's Friday night football games. She helps us tell some people where to go...."other side." She loves the hole punch that we use for season ticket holders...we just need to teach her to use it! :)

Welcome Home Scott!!

My brother Scott returned home from Iraq at the end of September. We finally went to North Carolina to see him on our long weekend. It was great that he was off and Vivian is not working any more so we had a lot of time with them. While we were there we drove over to the beach for a yummy meal (The Crab Shack...they have the best hushpuppies ever!) and then to see the ocean again this year! I never get tired of seeing the ocean. It was a little rough compared to this summer and was definitely much colder! Raleigh did not mind a bit and loved it every minute of it! Luckily the weather was in the 80's and beautiful the day we went because it cooled off the remainder of the weekend. The rest of the weekend we didn't do anything exciting, but enjoyed our time together. Raleigh loves her Uncle Scott, Aunt Vivian, and definitely her cousin "Cole" (aka Nicole).
