2 Year Pictures

We had some pictures made in January of Raleigh and us for her 2 year pictures. We would pick the coldest day...it was in the low 20's that morning. Raleigh was pitiful telling me to hold her in my coat (and she had on two layers). Despite the cold we still got some great shots!

Cooking Up A Storm!

Raleigh loves "cooking" in her kitchen. She serves coke and popcorn along with the occasional cookie to her dinner guests, her dog and Elmo. I love it when she uses her imagination!!!

Serving up the food!
Eating with Elmo (you can barely see his eyes peering over the table!)

Playing House!

Enjoying her playhouse any time it's nice out!

Chubby Legs!

There is only one time in your life when you can actually have chubby legs and it be considered cute...when you're a toddler! Raleigh loves her rain boots and can put them on herself so she has been wearing them a lot lately. Enjoy some of her yummy cuteness!
Sporting her tutu!
Ok, so I got a little carried away with her leg/feet picutres! Sorry, just couldn't resist!

Friends!

We went over to the Jenkins home for the Jets football game. We all wanted to cheer on Ben and of course anytime we can get together there's always good food (I saved up especially for this!) All the adults enjoyed the game and the kids had a wonderful time running around. I didn't get a picture of all the adults or more of the kids, but I couldn't resist getting one picture of Raleigh and Katie Beth. They were too cute playing together. I can't wait until we live over there with them so they can play all the time.
Lounging on the ottoman and of course posing for me to take a picture! Love it!

Picnic time!

We had our first snow/ice of the year this week. Raleigh was all excited when she saw it snowing, but when I asked her if she wanted to go play in it she said no. There really wasn't much to play in since you could see more grass than snow, but the driveway had a decent amount. Really I just wanted a snow picture! Since we stayed inside all day because it was so cold she made a picnic with her babies instead. Here's the picnic...and the food was pancakes!!!

More Pictures!!

Ok, I still have not learned all I need to about our new camera, but I have had some fun playing with it on the manual setting. Here are several that I loved!
Wearing my necklace and bracelet from the 80's that she found in my old desk (yes, many of my childhood belongings are still at my parents house...my dad really wants to send it all home with me, but I told him we didn't have room)
Eating the play ice cream with a fork!
Looking innocent!

Happy New Year!

Well, it's 2010! Hard to believe how quickly the year 2009 went by. It was a great year with a lot of firsts for us...walking, talking, climbing, etc. So many memories!

Jason and I had planned to stay in on New Year's Eve but at 9:00 I talked to my parents and my dad really wanted to go to the "Jug Drop" in Winder. So we said sure since Raleigh had taken a 4 and 1/2 hour nap. Yes, it was exactly like it sounded...they tied a jug (decorated with a face) up on the old jail/museum with rope and lowered it at midnight! This has to be the most redneck thing I've ever attended...even more redneck than the 4th of July fireworks in Gratis!! We had a good laugh about it, made history by attending the 1st ever jug drop, and didn't have to fight any traffic to get back home. Raleigh celebrated her first New Year's and made it for the whole thing...she was tired though. She told us she was ready to get back to Grandma and Papa's car and once we put her down at home she didn't move (and slept late so we could as well). Although she didn't show any emotion while it was happening she definitely could tell us about it after she had some sleep. Happy New Year!

Mommy's New Toy!

Since Jason got me a new digital SLR camera for Christmas, we've had so much fun playing with it and trying to get some great shots. There's so much to learn! Here are some of our favorites!
