Happy Birthday Papa!

Papa had his birthday on March 1st. We celebrated on Sunday after church and then Raleigh and I went to have dinner with them on Monday. Raleigh loves her Papa and I love my daddy! I'm so thankful that I have a wonderful father who always took care of me (and still likes to), can always help out with fixing things, and loves us so much. We love you! Happy Birthday Papa!!

Super Raleigh!!

We went to Pete Tison's super hero 5th birthday party at Monkey Joe's. Raleigh and Pete aren't really friends, but I'm friends with his mom (I work with her) and they were nice enough to invite us. Raleigh was hesitant at first about doing anything, but after a couple rides down the big slide with daddy and mommy she was ready to jump! She spent most of the time in the small bouncy house, but did take a turn in the bouncy castle. Boy, was she sweaty when she finished! Of course she chowed down on the pizza, juice, and cake!! Thanks to Pete for a fun afternoon!

Raleigh loved riding in the car!
She was so excited to have juice! She NEVER drinks juice and she just giggled after she took a sip!
You must concentrate when eating pizza!
Super Raleigh!

Leaving on a Jet Plane!

Scott and Vivian came to Georgia before they left for Stuttgart, Germany. Raleigh got to spend the day with them on Tuesday while I worked. I think they spoiled her just a little because she was attached to Vivian! The whole week she wanted to go to Vivian's room. No one else was allowed inside...she even kicked Scott out when he went in and shut the door behind him! It was great to have them home one last time before they headed out, but it wasn't long enough. We were able to have the whole family over for dinner one night...that doesn't get to happen often enough. When we took them to the airport we were able to go with them to the gate since Scott is in the military. It was hectic with all of us having to go through security, but was nice for Raleigh to be able to see all the planes. When Scott and Vivian went on the plane she started crying because she wanted to go on the plane! Of course mama had to wait at the gate until the plane pulled off. While we were waiting Raleigh was standing at the window and the pilots on the plane started waving to her. Such a neat experience for her...next time we'll be getting on the plane!

New Toy, New Projects!

I have been wanting a sewing machine for almost a year now. After receiving money for my birthday I decided to go buy one. Thanks to Jason I got a really nice one (he loves the nicest things and he spoils me!). I really want to learn to make curtains, pillows, and clothes for Raleigh. I hope that I'll love it so much that I'll need to buy an embroidery machine in the future! :) The first day I just played around with it and tried out some of the different stitches. The second day I got brave and decided to attempt a purse for Raleigh. I have only sewed before when I was in middle school and had to for a class so this was huge for me. Not that it was perfect by any means (I didn't have a pattern and I did some things backwards), but I thought it turned out ok for my first project. Can't wait to see what else I can make!!

Be Mine!

Since Jason and I have our birthdays right before Valentine's Day we don't do much in terms of gifts. Although I never get Jason anything except a card he always seems to get me flowers of some sort. This year he brought home a dozen red roses on Friday. Beautiful!
We do try to have dinner out together or just spend time together. Also, since Raleigh has been born she gets the gift! This year Jason picked up a little stuffed cat for her and she loves it...she talked to it the whole way to church.
By Saturday night/Sunday morning most of the snow was gone, but our yard was still covered. I took one last picture because we probably won't see it again this year unless we're lucky!
After lunch at Grandma and Papa's, Raleigh, Lacy, and Robby opened their Valentine card. Of course mama and daddy had put money in the cards for them. Raleigh was so excited to get her money. Of course her cousins started asking for her money! She's a smart girl and wouldn't give it to them!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

And...The Big 30!

Well, I'm now in the 30 club! I remember when Jason turned 30 that he started "falling apart." I guess now it's my turn! I only remember one other time when it snowed on my birthday (when we were driving home from Showbiz Pizza) and I didn't remember it sticking then, but my mom said it did. Although it actually snowed on Jason's birthday we were able to play in it on my birthday. We went over to Nore's house (my granddaddy) to play so he could watch Raleigh. Well, we didn't do too much since the snow was too soft to sled in it. I had thought it would be fun to let Raleigh sled down the "hill" that I did when I was little. Well, it was a bigger hill when you're little and the top of a trash can didn't work as well as the toilet lid that I used! Of course Raleigh didn't want to touch the snow, she didn't want to sled, and she didn't want to walk in the snow (this may be because she had on so many clothes that she couldn't move)! We got some great pictures and bribed her with lunch (thanks to mama and daddy for my chocolate pies!!) to hold an icicle and a snowball for pictures!
Getting a push from Grandma...not wanting to do this!
Either she decided it wasn't so bad or she's screaming NO!
This is the way to travel in the snow!
After Raleigh's nap we went to Shoki's (our favorite Japanese restaurant) with my family for dinner. It was so good...especially the UGA roll that I have been wanting for at least a week now! After we ate we went to Todd and Cindy's house to eat some cake. It was a wonderful birthday...maybe 30 won't affect me like it did Jason! :)
