Not happy about it, but starting to not scream the whole time

Sick, sick boy!
Garner got really sick on Saturday. He woke up from his nap with a really high fever and was not happy at all. He was throwing up and wouldn't eat. By Monday he wasn't any better so we took him to the doctor. He had some wheezing so Dr. Messick prescribed us a nebulizer with albuterol and a steroid. He also wanted to treat him for the flu even though his test came back negative just in case because there had been so many cases of it. Well, on Wednesday he was still not getting better so Jason took him back while I was at CBS. This time he saw Dr. Sheth and she said that he had pneumonia...again! Since he had just had it back in December she put him on some serious medicine. He was to finish the steroid, take a breathing treatment in the morning and night (albuterol & pulmicort), and then an albuterol breathing treatment 2-3 more times during the day. She also wanted him to take the pulmicort morning and night for a month! I hate for him to be on so much medicine, but I want him to be back to his healthy and happy self!

Toys Anyone??
I'm not sure Garner has a big enough selection of toys...what do you think?? Sad thing is that most of these are ones that we had for Raleigh. Only a few new ones were added for Garner.

Chicks
Cindy wanted me to take her picture in the chicken house for her physical therapist. So when I went to take the picture Raleigh got to hold the chicks as well. They really are cute, but I had forgotten how hot and smelly it is inside the chicken houses! Garner was not gentle at all and decided he needed to grab the chick by the head...luckily the chick survived! Definitely a fun little field trip!

Boys will be boys!
Well, one boy in our house will be a boy! I had put Garner down for a nap and when I went to check on him I didn't see him in his bed. I thought he was just in the corner that the monitor wasn't showing, but then I got a glimpse of something moving on the floor outside his bed. The little booger had somehow climbed out of his bed and was sitting on the floor! It scared me to death, but when I ran in there he was just sitting and was perfectly fine. Then the next day he managed to break the camera on his monitor so now I have no way to check to make sure he stays in the bed! First step we took was to lower his mattress. Now I guess we need to look into a new monitor. Garner may look a lot like Raleigh, but they are totally different!

Still Flying High
I can't believe these balloons still have helium in them! Garner loves playing with them. I guess we could have just gotten him balloons for his birthday!

Happy 1st Birthday, Garner!!
Happy 1st Birthday, Garner Robert!! I honestly cannot believe it has been a year since you entered our lives and changed everything for the better. I'm still not sure why I feared having a boy because you definitely have your mama's heart! You have changed so much in a year! I really miss your dark black hair, but now you look more like Raleigh. You have the happiest personality and only cry when you really want something. You love all the "boy" toys, but you also want to play with anything that Raleigh has in her hands. You're standing on your own a lot, but still not taking any steps. You really don't say much. You have said bye before, but you don't say it regularly, you also make the sounds mama and dada. I think part of this reason is because Raleigh doesn't give you a chance to talk. :) You love to eat most everything and mainly eat all table foods, but still eat baby food sometimes too. Your favorite is sweet potatoes. You're struggling to drink out of a cup and only like one that spills easily, but we'll work on that. You are growing so quickly and I love all the changes, but I wish I could slow down time! You are 31 1/4" tall (87%) and weigh 23 lbs 7 oz (57 %). Since your birthday fell on a Sunday this year the day was a little hectic. After church, Grandma cooked a meal just for you. You loved your sweet potato! :) Then we went home for a nap before going to choir/chapel. After chapel we took you to Outback. We weren't planning to get a dessert, but they brought you a bowl of ice cream and you LOVED it! You cried when it was all gone. When we got home we let you open your presents from Raleigh and Mommy & Daddy. You were so tired and ready for bed, but I think you had a wonderful 1st Birthday! We love you so much!!
