Garner...my sweet, sweet boy! He's all boy, but I wouldn't want it any other way. When he's hungry you better either feed him or he'll search the trash can. You would think having a lid on the trash would help, but no he just holds it up and digs around. Gross, but funny! He's become obsessed with closing doors after seeing Raleigh close hers. She would close her door so he couldn't come in, but now he goes around closing all the doors in the house. Slowly but surely we're adding more words. He's added book, car, and night night. Garner's going to get there...one day. In the meantime he's just going to run around and be cute!

Treat Yo' Self 2013
Time again for our annual girls trip that was named Treat Yo' Self a couple years ago. This year we headed up to Asheville for a relaxing weekend. We hung out, some visited the Biltmore House, shopped, saw the drum circle, checked out the Grove Park Inn, enjoyed dinner cooked by the family we rented the place from, talked by campfire, and of course indulged in some snacks! What a fun, relaxing weekend!!

Garner's 1st Haircut
The time finally came to get Garner's hair cut. The deciding factor was when I heard that he had a bow in it at church. :( It was in his eyes, but I loved it. We just did a trim in the back because I don't want to lose the curls yet and then got the top cut. He wasn't a fan at first, but ended up doing ok thanks to daddy, a sucker, and a truck!

20 months
This past month flew by! Garner's down to one nap a day although he sometimes still takes two naps depending on how early he gets up. Now that Raleigh is in school he'll sometimes fall asleep in the morning for a short nap and then nap again after we pick her up. He's such a good helper! One day when I was starting a wash, he handed me every piece of clothing to put in the wash. I was very thankful for his help. He also has an obsession with brushes/brooms. He loves to grab an old scrubbing brush out of the cabinet and play with it and the dustpan. Garner also loves to ride in the jogging stroller when I run/walk. If I go from home, he'll climb in the stroller as soon as I get it out of the car. He's still not talking a lot, but continues to try to say more things although it all sounds the same. He's added in walk (wah) and rock. When I get him up or get him out of the car, he'll always point to the ground and say "wah." Garner may not be talking much, but he's very observant and wants to figure out how things work. He found my keys one day and started trying to put them in the door knob. Garner has now accomplished going down the stairs. When we visited Scott he learned very quickly how to go down the stairs backwards on his knees. Another month gone...it's hard to believe how quickly he's growing up!
I gave up on the seated pictures...it wasn't worth the fight
