Apple Picking

We went a little late this year to pick apples due to the weather and things going on during the weekends.  Unfortunately we were not able to pick apples at Mercier Orchards since we went on a Monday, but we were able to buy some of their fabulous fried apple pies.  After our picnic lunch and some pictures we drove back to BJ Orchards to pick apples.  Raleigh enjoyed eating as many apples as she picked and Garner, well he loved running around and eating the apples!

Scott came home for the weekend since he had Monday off.  Mama decided to cook for everyone on Sunday and Scott brought his new guns.  So, we ate, talked, and had some target practice.

Mulberry Reads Kick Off

Mulberry picks a book each year for everyone to read.  This year they chose The Gollywhopper Games and had a kick off at Barnes & Noble.  We met up with some friends for dinner in the food court and then went to Barnes & Noble.  Raleigh chickened out and wouldn't participate in the flash mob, but she still enjoyed the night.

Field Trip to Washington Farms

The Kindergarten classes took a field trip to Washington Farms.  This was Raleigh's first time riding the school bus and she said she enjoyed it.  Daddy was able to go with us on the field trip thanks to the government furlough.  We were also able to check her out from the field trip and come home early!!  They had a great time and Raleigh's favorite activity was jumping on the jumping pillow.

21 months

Garner...my sweet, sweet boy!  He's all boy, but I wouldn't want it any other way.  When he's hungry you better either feed him or he'll search the trash can.  You would think having a lid on the trash would help, but no he just holds it up and digs around.  Gross, but funny!  He's become obsessed with closing doors after seeing Raleigh close hers.  She would close her door so he couldn't come in, but now he goes around closing all the doors in the house.  Slowly but surely we're adding more words.  He's added book, car, and night night.  Garner's going to get there...one day.  In the meantime he's just going to run around and be cute!

Treat Yo' Self 2013

Time again for our annual girls trip that was named Treat Yo' Self a couple years ago.  This year we headed up to Asheville for a relaxing weekend.  We hung out, some visited the Biltmore House, shopped, saw the drum circle, checked out the Grove Park Inn, enjoyed dinner cooked by the family we rented the place from, talked by campfire, and of course indulged in some snacks!  What a fun, relaxing weekend!!
