Last Day...Bittersweet!

It's hard to believe that Raleigh's last day at Child's World is here.  It's one of those places that I wish she could stay at forever.  I think I'm going to miss it as much as she will, but I know we'll be back in just a few short years.  I'm so thankful for all the time and love the sweet ladies at Child's World put in to teach our kids.  They are truly the greatest!  We ended our time there with a picnic lunch (ice cream included!) and play time!
These three are inseparable!  Raleigh, Ivy, and Payton

Child's World better look out...these two will be there before long!

Thank you Child's World for a wonderful two years!!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was spent at church and then at my parents for lunch.  Jason and I are really blessed with wonderful mother's.  I'm pretty blessed to be married to a wonderful man with two beautiful children.  Once again I'm very thankful to be a mother and I sure do love my little ones...during their smiles and cries!

Family Fun!

Todd and Cindy had everyone over for May birthdays and Mother's Day.  Garner had a fun ride on the 4-wheeler.  Raleigh didn't want anything to do with it, but loved getting to spend time with Lacy!

And we had a beautiful sunset to look at on the way home!

Strawberry Pickin'

We went to pick strawberries again this year at Washington Farms.  One day I'll be able to help Jason pick the strawberries.  I tried putting Garner in the Ergo, but he was not having any of it.  He wanted to be free and run, but when he did that he would step on or fall on the strawberries.  So Raleigh, Garner, and I helped for a little bit (or long enough for a couple of pictures) and then went to an open area to let Garner run around while Jason picked.  Raleigh ate lots of strawberries while we were there but Garner tried one or two and had enough.  He's not our strawberry eater.  Now we have plenty to snack on for a while!

Sucker at the Bank

Garner went to the bank with daddy and got his first sucker.  I think he enjoyed it!

16 months

It's hard to believe another month has come and gone, but it has and Garner's now 16 months old!  Garner is now pretty much up and running all the time!  He really doesn't slow down much, but will stop to play with some toys for a short time or to watch TV.  I really didn't think he was going watch TV like Raleigh did, but he's starting to.  He loves watching the Wiggles and dances the whole time.  It's hilarious and cute!  The boy loves music and loves to dance.  We love telling him to dance just because it's too cute to watch him shake his little body and get excited.  Not sure who he gets his moves from though!  The boy LOVES to be outside!  I mean he really loves it and will stand at the door and cry if we mention anything about outside or if we open the door and then close it.  He will easily take off up the driveway and be across the street in no time.  Luckily if we go out back he doesn't immediately head to the driveway.  This is going to be a challenge for me because I don't love being outside all the time (or at least I don't enjoy standing outside and sweating).  As much as I don't like it I know we'll be outside more this summer and it will be great for all of us (although we may have to do it at night depending on the temperature during the day).  Garner has finally started saying a few things.  He says kitty, bye bye, mama, dada, papa, and rara (for Raleigh).  Occasionally it will sound like he's trying to say milk, but I'm not convinced.  Sometimes he'll say "cot" for Scott and also for Todd when he sees their pictures.  It's so cute and definitely one of the things I love about this age!  Garner can also give a high five and a fist bump as well as the sweetest kisses!  I've also determined that it doesn't matter if a brother is older or younger, but it is just an instinct to annoy their sister!  Garner is hilarious and will climb into Raleigh's chair and then turn around to see if she's coming after him.  He'll grab her hair sometimes, grab her toy, and just laugh at her.  It drives her crazy and he just laughs.  I think it's funny, but I also know how she feels...brothers!  I love to see the two of them interact...they can be loud and annoying, but at the same time I can't help but smile.  I wouldn't trade their laughs for anything!!
