Bon Voyage!

The much anticipated day is finally here!!  We arrived in Puerto Rico really late...like 1:00 am late so we were ready to crash when we got to the hotel for the night.  I would never want to drive in Puerto Rico.  I'm not really sure that they follow any street signs, they double park on the street and you could probably stick your hand out of the window and touch the parked cars as you drive by, and people ride their bikes at 1 in the morning...crazy!  After breakfast at the hotel and then checking out we headed over to the cruise port.  I'm so glad we got there when we did!  It didn't take long at all to get on board and we had plenty of time to explore the ship.  We had just finished lunch when they announced that our rooms were ready!!  Since I was already feeling lost on the ship we decided to take part in a tour of the ship.  I'm so glad we did...it was us, a lady who was going to be giving "beyond the podium" speeches about different authors (glad we met her this day because we weren't going to be going to listen to those), and Charlotte (the Celebrity Live Activity Host).  We really enjoyed seeing the main areas of the ship and especially the main dining room because we never ate in there for the entire week (Jason booked us in AquaClass so we had a separate dining room).  Since it was just us, Charlotte remembered us (even our names, just not faces) the whole week and would always speak to us when she saw us...one of the many reasons I really loved this cruise!  She also took us by where they were advertising the specialty restaurants and told us that since we were AquaClass we could get 50% off Qsine if we booked it for that night.  Jason had already booked us for later in the week, but it looked really good and fun so we went ahead and went that night!  Later in the week Charlotte asked us how we liked it and we told her it was wonderful...then she told us that her husband was the chef.  :)  After our little tour we changed and headed to the pool for a little relaxation.  We even scored a double chaise!  After that we got ready for the evening which included our general emergency and lifeboat drill  and the sailaway before dinner.  First day over...I'm already loving it!!
Getting on Board
View from our balcony looking towards the port.  Jason booked us in a "corner" room near the front of the ship so that we'd have a little larger balcony.

Looking towards Old Town San Juan

Looking the opposite way :) (towards where our hotel will be when we return)
Thanks to our double chaise score we also scored front row seats to the Xtasea: Party Band (pretty creative name...X from the Celebrity symbol and at sea...haha!)
View of Old Town San Juan as we departed
Qsine menu...on an ipad.  The menu was full of pictures and you could touch one to see a description and scroll through.  If you wanted it, you clicked "add to favorites"to compose your meal.  You could order as many or as few as you wanted and you share it with your table.  We ended up with five and were stuffed!

 Disco Shrimp
 Sushi Lollipops
Painter's Mingon (filet with sides on a painter's pallet)...definitely the best by far!
 Spring Rolls...in springs!
 Chinese Martini...our least favorite
After dinner comes the dessert menu...rubik's cube!
We may have gone a little overboard.  I ordered the cupcake affair (4 regular size cupcakes with three icings to use to decorate and toppings that came in a three-tier "suitcase") and chocolate tombstone (nutella, chocolate, and rice krispie).  Jason ordered the Qsine surprise (bread pudding with vanilla ice cream) and the silver bullet (gelato).  Not only that, but then they bring around a tray with creme brulee and chocolate covered strawberries for you to have.  It was all so good and so much fun!!
